GALLERY KOGURE is a gallery which introduces artists on the international stage sparing no effort or time in engaging in expression, irrespective of media, and taking as a concept approaching the true essence of things. While it is a given that intrinsic originality is the lifeblood of artists, even in this context we place a particular emphasis on quality and the subcultural characteristics of artworks.
The “craftsmanship” which bolsters quality is a result of dedicated research and discipline, and the originality demonstrated by artists expressing themselves by means of meticulous craftsmanship born of a dedication to the study of old works of art and superior artisanal techniques is something that will endure through different eras. In addition we believe that the “subcultural characteristics” which are socially and psychologically foundational in art are extremely important as the essence of art which transcends eras.
