ART OSAKA 2018

ART OSAKA 2018 will hold its 16th installment, on the weekend of July 7th and 8th (preview on Friday, July 6th) on the 26th floor of Hotel Granvia Osaka. The venue is directly accessible from JR Osaka station.

ART OSAKA is one of the biggest art fairs in Japan with a focus on contemporary art. This year, 54 galleries will participate, from both Japan and abroad (21 from the Kansai region, 26 from the non-Kansai regions, 3 from Taiwan, and 4 from Korea). 4 galleries will participate in ART OSAKA for the first time. 68 hotel rooms will be turned into exhibition booths.

This year as a new trial, we will set up “U-35 Sections”, holding solo exhibitions, introducing upcoming artists exclusively under 35 years old. In “Exhibition PLUS”, participating galleries will hold solo exhibitions of their represented artists. Individualities of the presented artists and their works will surely make the fair dynamic. During the fair period, “Best Presentation Award” will also be presented, voted for by the fairs’ guests.
