Gallery Shilla

Gallery Shilla, a contemporary art space for art of our time, has consistently opened exhibitions to promote the futuristic and progressive art scene since it’s opening in May, 1992. Since the first opening exhibition of “Dansaekhwa” of Korean contemporary art, Gallery Shilla has discovered and introduced both Korean and international artists. Our exhibitions have introduced principal artists of Korea, such as Nam june Paik, Park Seo-Bo, Lee Kang-So, Suh Seung-Won and Yun Hyong-Keun to the world. At the same time, we have introduced new and trendy international artists, such as Kishio Suga, the key artist of Mono-ha from Japan, Tadaaki Kuwayama works and lives in New York, Niele Toroni of Swiss and Alan Charlton from England, to Korea. Most of the artists that Gallery Shilla has presented are leading the contemporary art scene of the world. They are the kind of artists who enthusiastically pursue the sincerity of art and not commercial success. With these artists and by continuing to introduce authentic and creative artists to the world, we want to play a principal role in the international contemporary art scene.
