Expanded Cafe Talk (Japanese only)

Centering around young artists who were born in the 90s and are predicted to be future leading artists, Expanded Cafe Talk features cross talks and work commentary from various exhibition participants. Join to hear more from the artists themselves about the untold stories behind their artworks.
Online streaming will also be available for those unable to attend the event on the day. Talks will be viewable anytime, either before or during your visit, so take the chance to sit back, watch, and cultivate an appreciation of the works on display.

Cochi Cafe Pop-up Store

Cochi Cafe from Kohama in Suminoeku will have a pop-up store offering a special menu in the Expanded venue.

Chishima Collection, Tide: The shape of the tidal currents

Chishima Real Estate Co., Ltd., which continues to support urban development in Kitakagaya through art, is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and will be holding a special exhibition of the company’s artwork collection. Guests are invited to come and see it as part of the six-day event celebrating art throughout the entire Kitakagaya area.

Osaka’s largest shared studio, which has a goal of supporting artists and creators. Gifted, upcoming artists and creators in their 20s to 40s from a range of genres will be allowing visitors to view their regular working spaces.
An exhibition will be held in the available spaces within SSK during the event.

The private museum of artist Yasumasa Morimura. The Art Fahrenheit 451, Revisited exhibition will be in session at the time, offering a fresh look at the themes behind the Yokohama Triennale that Morimura was involved as an art director in 2014.

Talk Event: Leveraging contemporary art in the business world for town planning (Japanese only)

This year’s Art Osaka includes a newly-established section, Expanded, that aims to enlarge the potential behind art fairs. What would be the effect of taking contemporary art out of museums and galleries and bringing it into more urban settings? This event is a driving force behind the dialogue of the highlights and the potential behind the activities between the various establishments and the guests engaged in contemporary art projects for Art Osaka 2022.
