Hal Osawa creates artworks that embody the ambiguity of value by replicating digital copies through analog means, visualizing the uncertainty within the pieces. Her main series are "onomatopoeia" and "Disappearance and Induction."

In "onomatopoeia," which refers to words imitating sounds, she directly drops ink onto the glass surface of a photocopier and then paint the resulting replicated images. Onomatopoeic expressions are unique to the Japanese language, and through imagery, she expresses the weight of sound (onomatopoeia) as a medium.

The "Disappearance and Induction" series utilizes glitch text generated from Japanese to Japanese translation using a camera translator. The cursive script used as the original image carries artistic value in its transmission, making it difficult for us, living in the present age, to decipher. This series focuses on the impossibility and imperfection of human communication and transmission.
