Gallery Information
gallerychosun
Gallerychosun was established in Bukchon, Seoul's vibrant art district, where the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is located, when contemporary art began to be introduced to Korea in 2004. I am confident that I have served as an incubator to discover artists and help them grow into artists at the forefront of contemporary art.Gallerychosun values international trends and art historical contexts, but has tried to suggest new perspectives through various attempts that do not differentiate regardless of genres, with regional characteristics and artist's originality at the center.Since 2015, Gallerychosun has been recording the lives and working processes of artists through videos, carrying out digital archive work. The records and traces we have created alongside them in the contemporary era are also part of Gallerychosun's history. We hope for the day when we can send our applause from behind the stage and we will continue on this journey in the future.
